MY FAMILY AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS

A great cry out for families throughout the Country

On April 3, 2026, Fiji will experience remarkable moments of faith. The event "The Family at the Foot of the Cross" will take place at the Suva Civic Centre, expanding the reach and allowing even more people to participate in this great cry out for families.

Hundreds of families will have the opportunity to gather to pray, reflect and present before God their causes, pains and challenges, seeking direction, restoration and a new beginning.

"Our marriage was filled with arguments"

Before coming to the Universal Church, I suffered from a sickness for 21 years and faced many problems in my family. I was addicted to alcohol, kava, and smoking. I spent my wages in nightclubs, and our marriage was filled with arguments.

One Saturday, I received a flyer inviting me for the blessing of water. My wife and I attended the service, prayed, and used the blessed water in our home. From that day, I experienced a peace I had never felt before and God healed me.

Our son Joshua became very sick and struggled to breathe for more than two months. After taking the Holy Oil from the Day of Power Event, we  placed a small drop in his milk everyday, and a small white substance that was stuck in his throat came out, and he never suffered from that again.

And through the powerful Word of God, our lives were completely transformed.
Today, I am free from those addictions, my family is blessed, my marriage is restored, and we have never turned back.

"Our marriage was falling apart."

We have been married for more than 27 years. In the beginning of our marriage, things were good for the first couple of years but after that, everything started to fall apart.

At that time, I was the problem. I was an alcoholic, a smoker, a womaniser, and I was involved in drugs. Those addictions completely destroyed our home. Although today we are happily married, back then our house was like hell. Things became so bad that we were heading toward divorce.

I had serious anger issues. I was unfaithful, an alcoholic, and I physically abused my wife. I used to hit my wife, punch and even burn her with my cigarettes. I would leave the house every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, come back drunk, and continue the violence. I lived as a single man, never caring for my wife or our son.

My wife was introduced to the church by a friend and met a man of God and a woman of God during a day service. My wife stopped praying to idols and chose to trust God alone.

On Mother’s Day,  she invited me to church, and I agreed to come. Within two weeks, I gave up smoking, alcohol, and all my addictions. I was baptised and gave my life to Jesus. I removed all the idols from our home, and slowly through chains of prayer and faith, our lives began to change.

After six months, during a campaign, I made a spiritual sacrifice and received the Holy Spirit. From that day onward, everything transformed. Today, I am a man of God. I love and care for my family.

Our marriage is restored, and our home is filled with peace, love, and unity.

There are no fights, no violence, no addictions.
