Before joining the Universal Church, I struggled with a short temper, addiction to alcohol, kava, and cigarettes, and dismissed authority and family. Initially resistant to religion despite my wife's support, I eventually connected with the church's messages which led me to seek God earnestly. I overcame my addictions and now enjoy a life filled with God's peace as a loving husband and devoted father.
I faced fear, low self-esteem, anger, and insecurities in my youth, distancing myself from family and seeking comfort in the wrong crowd. This led to blaming my parents and considering drastic actions. However, attending church changed everything; I learned to overcome fear isolation through faith and prayer, ultimately transforming into a confident person free from guilt. My relationships improved significantly.
I started smoking at 12, transitioning from rolling newspaper to cigarettes in high school. Sneaking smokes with family led to alcohol and kava use. Years later, as a married father, my addiction escalated to 40-50 cigarettes daily, straining my marriage and causing distance with my son. Despite attempts with patches and counseling, change eluded me until I joined the Universal Church in May 2010, which helped me quit drinking and smoking. Now, I live addiction-free, have transformed, and my family enjoys peace.
