When He Refused to Accept Defeat

For more than 12 years, Praveen Prasad suffered from severe back pain. His years working in a printing press involved heavy lifting, and his previous work as a part-time DJ, combined with drinking and smoking, also affected his health. At one point, he even damaged his back while carrying heavy speakers while drunk.
After seeing physiotherapists and chiropractors, Praveen was warned that he could eventually become bedridden. But he refused to accept that outcome.
“They told me a time will come that you will be bedridden, but I did not accept this.”
In 2017, Praveen came to the Universal Church after seeing a television programme. One Sunday, although he did not attend church, his wife gave him blessed water from the church. After drinking it, he says he immediately felt something leave his body.
“I could feel that something leaving my body, and I found healing on that day.”
He says he felt lighter than ever before and shared the experience with his family, telling them:
“There’s something in my body that has left and now I am free.”
But his journey did not stop there. His son was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer, and doctors warned that he might not live long. Praveen placed the situation on the altar and says his son was delivered and is now 20 years old.
Later, his daughter faced a serious blood-related condition. Doctors warned that surgery could leave her unable to walk and possibly dependent on a wheelchair. Once again, Praveen turned to his faith and placed the situation on the altar. Today, he says his daughter is not only walking but running around.
Having experienced these situations with his family, Praveen now encourages others who are facing pain, illness or difficult circumstances not to give up. Watch his testimonial below:
