Fast of Daniel
The Fast of Daniel is a period in which we leave secular information aside, to focus on the presence of God.
About the Fast
The Fast of Daniel is a 21-day spiritual, Daniel-inspired, period of voluntary abstention from entertainment, secular news, and social media to focus on God, receiving the Holy Spirit, and hearing His voice. It is not just about dietary restrictions but specifically focuses o disconnecting from worldly distractions to prioritize spiritual renewal, personal growth, and seeking God's guidance.
It is important to note that this fast is for everyone. Those who are new to the church and are taking their first steps in their journey of faith and those who have attended the church for a while and are seeking the baptism in the Holy Spirit, or to be renewed in their faith.
When you hear the words loneliness and isolation what comes to mind?
One thing is for sure, neither are an option since no one wants to be alone and isolated.
However, there is a word that may seem similar yet has a different meaning, solitude; it’s the state of being alone by your own personal choice. The Fast of Daniel encourages you to do just that, to have your alone time with God in solitude.
The Bible records various accounts of men and women who spent their time in solitude to hear the voice of God, as a result, they received guidance, inspiration, solutions, and above all the Holy Spirit.
Today we invite you to do the same, to disconnect from the noise (news, social media, secular information, entertainment, etc) and connect to God through His Word. After all, faith is strengthened when it is invested in the Word of God.
If so, these 21 days are for you, give your undivided attention to Him and He will speak to you like never before.
Why participate in the Fast of Daniel
If you wish to live with God for all eternity, why not start to be a citizen of Heaven here on Earth?
How can someone say they wish to live in the Divine Kingdom if, in the present time, they live far from that ideal? It is incongruent or, depending on the case, even hypocritical.
Salvation in the Lord Jesus is a consequence of the decisions we make during our life in this physical body. After that, the destiny of our soul will come (which, unlike the perishable body, will last forever): Heaven or condemnation.
In this way, the Daniel Fast is a period, above all, of self-evaluation so that the person reflects on their true spiritual condition, abandons practices and mentalities contrary to biblical thinking, and draws even closer to God. In other words, it is so that they continue to walk the constant process of sanctification.
To do this, we silence the voices of this world – which can be found in the media, on social networks and in so many other places full of "noise". In the wilderness, there is only the voice of God and our conscience.
The Bible also adds:
"And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is the spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." (1 John 4:3)

The main objective of this fast is to receive the Holy Spirit. You are invited to start this purpose with us to see benefits in every area of your life.
Just as fasting means more than abstaining from food, this purpose is more than refraining from secular information or entertainment. The fast calls for us to abstain from entertainment but also requires the right attitude, which will help you reach your objective of receiving the Holy Spirit and having your spiritual life revived.
This is your opportunity to swap your thoughts for the thoughts of God; meditate on His Word and communicate with Him through prayer to have a true encounter with the Creator. If you wish to develop spiritually and desire to have His seal, then this is the time.
